Sync Server

The SyncML Server provides over-the-air and wireline synchronization between the end-users device (e.g. mobile phone, laptop) and network stores such as a Network Address Book or a Network Calendar. It is the server-side contact point for SyncML compliant devices in all Voxmobili product line.

OMA DS 1.2 compliant

The SyncML Server is OMA DS 1.2 certified and backward compatible with a wide range of devices including previous SyncML versions. It supports all standardized synchronization types such as ’Slow Sync’, ’Two-way Sync’, ’Server Alerted Sync’. By actively following the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Data Synchronization standardization effort, Voxmobili is ensuring future-proof product versions.

Data agnostic

The SyncML Server architecture has been designed in such a way that it can be updated to synchronize any type of data format. As part of its product line, the SyncML server currently supports contacts, events, tasks, notes, folders, emails and files.

Advanced features

  • Conflict Management: The SyncML server can manage conflict resolution when a specific item has been modified on both the server and client. Rules can be defined by the end- user or the customer care.
  • Device capabilities discovery: The SyncML Server can detect the capabilities of the chosen device, thus optimizing the format in which the data is synchronized.
  • Suspend and Resume: As the SyncML Server supports the Suspend and Resume feature it is therefore able to cope with a temporarily suspended connection.

Secured transaction

The SyncML Server supports secured transaction with SyncML compliant clients using SSL over HTTP (128bits) and MD5 strong encryption methods.

Administrable

The SyncML Server provides the ability to log real-time usage and administrative information (fault/performance logs) to generate comprehensive usage reports for marketing and operational purposes.
