Voxmobili synchronises mobile devices and enterprise applications
The European software editor launches the first wireless synchronisation server based on the SyncML standard.
Voxmobili, the personal data management applications developer, today announced the launch of Voxsync, the first "wireless" synchronisation server. With the development of mobile solutions, companies need to manage information more efficiently. Voxsync, the solution developed by Vox Mobili, facilitates this management by synchronising company data with remote devices. Based on the SyncML standard, the solution supports most devices (Nokia, Ericsson, Palm, Ipaq, etc.), current applications and permits wireless data updates via GSM, GPRS, OBEX or BLUETOOTH. Voxmobili is therefore one of the first European software companies to supply this type of application since the launch of the SyncML Initiative in December 2000, of which Vox Mobili is an active member.
SyncML, the future mobile communications standard
Robust and evolutionary, Voxsync integrates the infrastructure of enterprises or service suppliers (portals, etc.) and supports the majority of mobile devices (telephones, PC, Personal Data Assistants) Intranet applications (Outlook, Notes...), and all types of connections (wired: http, TCP/IP... or wireless: GSM, WAP, GPRS, etc.). "Voxsync is the result of more than eighteen months of development", states Eric Vieillevigne, CEO of Voxmobili. "The launch of this new product is proof not only of how far ahead we are compared to other applications development companies, but also of the excellence of the strategy adopted by our teams only a few months after the promotion of the SyncML Initiative by the largest software companies" he adds. |
